The following is a quote from the Bhagavad-gita. I was first introduced to this passage in the book "You'll See It When You Believe It" by Dr. Wayne Dyer.

Dr. Dyer was explaining the importance of letting go of our attachments to results. This piece and the point of Dyer's discussion made a lasting impression on me.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

~ Passage from Bhagavad-gita ~

sreyo hi jnanam abhyasaj
jnanad dhyanam visisyate
dhyanat karma-phala-tyagas
tyagac chantir anantaram

Better indeed is knowledge than mechanical practice
    Better than knowledge is meditation
But better still is the surrender of attachment to results,
    For there follows immediate peace.
