Book #2:  In the Footsteps of Jesus
Author:  Bruce Marchiano

Book #3:  Illusions
Author:  Richard Bach

Comments:  Peace of Mind by Rabbi Joshua Loth Liebman changed my life when I most needed it. In the Footsteps of Jesus by Bruce Marchiano, is about a Hollywood actor's discovery of Jesus as he acted the part in the movie, Matthew. Illusions by Richard Bach, is the best narrative I have ever read. Thank You for all of your loving work; a wonderful resource... Best Regards, glen

Author:  Paul Brunton

Book #2:  Ashtavakra Samhita - A 3000 year old book
Author:  Ashtavakra

Book #3:  Empty Boat,When the Shoe fits
Author:  osho- Rajneesh

Comments:  Truth - or in other words the Ultimate Reality is for us to realize. This has been the Most toughoust part for any Mystic past or present to explain their EXPERIENCING, for it is not an experience that comes and goes.Ramana Maharshi of Tiruvan namalai,India is an Embodiment of truth. He is really a very great soul.Next Osho is an extraordinary Master, from India whose rational Approach to life was LOVE,LAUGH,LIVE. for him Nothing was Bad .Sex was as Holy as Samadhi. For he said that both are 2 ends of the same ladder.Read the books and you shall realise that your Waking state is also a DREAM.Finally read not Ashtavakra if u are not ready to accept the Reality.this is a serious WARNING.for he says Dont try to climb the Mountain top, just stop dreaming and see for yourself that you are top of it.

Book #1:  In God's Truth
Author:  Nick Bunick

Book #2:  Healing Codes for the Biological Apocalypse
Author:  Horowitz and Puleo

Book #3:  It is Allright
Author:  Isabelle Hickey

Comments:  In God's Truth changed my life forever and confirmed what I felt in my heart since I can remember. Everyone should treat themselves to this book before they die. Healing Codes will change the planet in slow and well timed doses as people become aware of the information presented in it about the Bible...which by the way they will never take at face value ever again...after reading this book. There is so much to know about ourselves as souls, which has been hidden from us; by persons in power so that we would stay 'ignorant to Gods true words and wishes for us as humans', blindly following the words of man. This book, I had waited for all of my life till now...and the search is on for more enlightenment where ever I may find it in the universe. Isabell Hickey is one of the most loving and powerful writers I have encountered in all my reading. Any book by her is relevant, readable and applicable to ones life. She is also has a book called Astrology; A Cosmic Science. Praise, Gratitude and Love, M

Book #1:  Love is Letting Go of Fear
Author:  Gerald Jampolsky (based on A Course in Miracles)

Book #2:  When Things Fall Apart
Author:  Pema Chodron

Book #3:  There is Nothing Wrong With You
Author:  Cheri Huber

Comments:  Each one of these books took me through a rough time in my life, and each one focuses on learning to understand our minds/hearts and to befriend ourselves and love ourselves, for the benefit of ourselves and for others. The first book is based on key lessons of A Course in Miracles and was the first book to teach me that my thoughts and perceptions are what determine my experience of life, not the events themselves. The second book teaches us how to embrace the rough times in life rather than fighting them; how to see the value in and learn from difficult feelings and situations. The final book's title speaks for itself: The subtitle is "Regardless of What You Were Taught to Believe." Cheri Huber is a wonderfully Zen teacher who combines Zen with modern psychology to teach us to really question our beliefs about ourselves and life. (She also offers periodic donation-based online courses - see the website keepitseimplebooks.com.

Book #1:  The power of your subconscious mind
Author:  Joseph Murphy

Book #2:  Science of Mind
Author:  Ernest Holmes

Book #3:  Immortal Man
Author:  Neville Goddard

Comments:  The 1st book was really the one that made me to be interested in spirituality from New Thought point of view. It provided me so much inspiration that even years later this book has received its honary placement next to the Bible. All books by Dr. Murphy are good, but this is one of the best. If you want to join Dr. Joseph Murphy Discussion group and learn more go to http://jmurphy.start.at Second book is really a manual for living a successful life. It includes everything one could ask and is a sort of modernized version of the Bible for new people living in new world... it is also the manual that Religious Science uses and many other New Thought churches appreciate. Third book is simpy GOOD neville stuff... recommended for those who are into imagination.

Book #1:  Choose To Live Peacefully
Author:  Susan Smith Jones, Ph.D

Book #2:  Creating Miracles
Author:  Carolyn Godschild Miller, Ph.D.

Book #3:  Choice Theory
Author:  William Glasser, Ph.D.

Comments:  These books (and many more) have helped me realize some of the reality that "the Kingdom of God is within." I have gained to a much greater extent, the ability to determine my inner experience. The basis of my sense of freedom is more scientific and empirical, rather than religious, but it seems to me that the greater depth of experience still lies in what is generally known as spirituality. I can't imagine how reading and understanding these books cannot empower you and give you a greater sense of freedom and personal power.

Book #3:  Sermon on the Mount
Author:  E. Foxx

Comments:  I read a bunch of people saying only 3, well One book started it all for me that was a book called Jonathan Livingston Seagull, a childs book. I was told read it as a spiritual book and I did, then I baulked at Sermon on the Mount, but read it anyway, WOW......god loves me and these are the reason's. Then I read New Pair of Glasses, its a book kinda off but had/has a great mircle of what God can do if we(me) becomes willing to let him. WORLDS GREATEST SALESMAN was a book took me by surprize, nothing to do with sales, all about outlook and attitude of life. K. Chubbuck

Comments:  There are others. Yet the above, I go back to again and again, and these explain much of what I find elsewhere. I have completed a rendering in rhyme of the second 2, above, because it forced me to go to the energy behind the words, and really, really understand. I am now reading Florence Scovell Shinn, and the Dhammapada, and they say the same thing. I hope to turn FSS's books into Rhyme, and will do the same for the Dhammapada. I have more books than almost anyone I know, but I keep coming back to these.

Book #1:  Urban Shaman
Author:  Serge Kahili King

Book #2:  The Path with Heart
Author:  Jack Kornfield

Book #3:  Little Women
Author:  Louisa May Alcott

Comments:  1. Urban Shaman is King's definitive work on Huna philosphy and shamanic techniques we can use in modern urban life to heal and harmonize ourselves and our world. 2. Jack Kornfield shows us how to "train the puppy" with affection and humor. 3.Little Women is a classic of my childhood and was one of my first models for staunch, strong, intelligent women. It's very difficult to name 3, I had to leave out Peace is Every Step, by Thich Nhat Hanh, which I think should be required reading.

Book #3:  After the Ecstacy, the Laundry
Author:  Jack Kornfield

Comments:  I have read sooooooo many books..... but these three were the cornerstones, I think. Seat of the Soul was a great introduction to how universal law works. Conversations With God offered another opportunity to understand relationship with the Divine. After The Ecstacy was fabulously crafted to get through the depression and lows of post-enlightenment moments. A great trio for your ultimate collection.

Book #2:  In Tune With The Infinite

Book #3:  Opening To Channel
Author:  Roman/Packer

Comments:  I have read many books of the same type, but if I were to mention the one that truly stands out, it would be Joshua. It is beautifully written, but rather sad in the way the church reacted. I realize that this is a novel, but its beauty and simpicity seems to upset the somewhat dogmatic thinking of the traditional churches. Fortunately this seem to be changing over the last while.

Book #3:  No Compromise Life story of Keith Green

Comments:  The book Model Patient had quotes from the book As A Man Thinketh. They were so profound to me and helpful to Karen Duffy that I was curious. Karen had a list of books in the back of hers, that's how I found out about James Allen. His book has ended up being one of the best books that God has put into my life all because of Karen Duffy's book. No Compromise is a story of a man's life that should not have, by the world's standards, been what it was to many people...INSPIRING!!! He was and still is an inspriration to anyone who knew him or WHO has read this book.

What "spiritual enlightenment" could never give me, intellectual enlightenment can- no, not exactly- but so much more. This resurrected awareness of Objective Reality has changed my life and given me the basis to live- that basis being: my self- my life- physical existence. Reality. I choose to not compromise reality... not now... not ever.

Comments:  I can't believe that any of you idiots actually believe what you read in the Bible. Adam & Eve, the first people? So who did their one surviving son fuck to begat the rest of the human race? The Virgin Mary, I don't think so!!! Jesus crucifying himself to forgive your sins? Why bother crucifying yourself, if you're omnipotent you surely don't need to nail yourself to a cross to forgive us miserable sinners, you can just forgive us and be done with it. Don't you see, all this bollocks was made up by a corrupt bunch of priests so they could have power over the ignorant fools that were kicking about during the dark ages. This is the 21st Century. Wake up! If God is so miraculous, where are the miracles? This world is a pretty dark and shitty place, eh? Where's God and Jesus now, eh? Nowhere, because the whole thing is a fable. And do you want to know where God really is? God is a spirit that is everywhere, and we are all part of that spirit, so get into it and groove and stop chastising yourself for being a miserable sinner. You are not a sinner, and you are only miserable if you chose to be. Celebrate spirit & enjoy life for God's sake. Stop reading those crap books and going to those crap mosques & churches & temples. You don't need them. You are your own Guru. Know thyself. Teach thyself! Good luck. God's love be with you all!

Comments:  Lyric Philosophy (Jan Zwicky) is far ahead of its time, much like Thoreau's Walden when Thoreau was still alive. It's written by a pure genius with a vision of the human potential that may not make much sense to popular culture because the consciousness of pop culture is ill-equipped to comprehend it. As with most works of genius, it will be treasured only after the artist has passed from our company.

Comments:  I am an avid reader. Many books lie around the house and in my car. A book MUST be in reaching distance. I prefer nonfiction, but I love historical fiction if the "research" is thorough. This may seem a little drastic, but on occasion I will begin reading a book that someone has recommended. If I dislike the book, I force myself to finish it as a matter of discipline. Two examples are: Hunt For Red October and Boundaries...minus five "YUK" for both. (^_^) In both cases the writing was very good, but my personal likes and dislikes just wouldn't "let them in." Book #3:  Conversations With God, Books #1, 2 & 3

Comments:  I believe it was Victor Frankl who wrote, "I have never been contained except that I made the prison." (You avid readers can correct me if I'm wrong), but each book in it's way spoke to me at the time I read it and helped to change my life. In book #1, Bruce McArthur does a wonderful job in explaining the Universal Laws always at work in our lives, and the Universe, and "through the use of these laws how we unknowingly create the conditions we experience in our day to lives: financial, social, mental & spiritual". If you've wanted to understand "karma", a must read. Book #2, by Neville, explains how to create from your imagination. Finally, Neville shows you how your imagination and the "feelings" evoked by your imaginings go forth to bring you that thing you desire. Watch those fantasies come into manifestation. They say, be careful what you wish for. Do yourself a favor and get his 10 small books. You won't regret it! Book #3, the CWG series was a WOW.. for me. God, became real to me as a result of reading these books. I will continue to return to your site time and again - a wonderful find. Many thanks. Beverly

"The Seventh Princess" is one of the short tales in a book by Eleanor Farjeon I got when I was about ten years old, and made me understand at that early age, when we all want to be princesses, that marrying the prince might not be so great if it implies losing your freedom, losing the opportunity to really learn to enjoy life and its small pleasures.

Book #2:  The Blue Castle

Book #3:  The Power of the Subconscious Mind
Author:  Joseph Murphy

Comments:  Actually, if you are trying to become a more spiritual and successful human being, read all of Joseph Murphy's books, and all of Neville's books. These men were metaphysical geniuses who knew that our imagination (or subconscious) is God--the higher self within us. "The Blue Castle" is a wonderful novel about a young woman who goes from a life of loneliness and unhappiness to experiencing love and joy on a daily basis, all because she learns how to reach out and care for others. It's a humorous and inspirational novel, set at the turn of the century, written by the woman who wrote "Anne of Green Gables." For those interested in metaphysics, you'll love this novel, trust me! Also, read everything by Ernest Holmes. There's a new biography about him called "That Was Ernest," by Reginald C. Armor, which will tell you how this remarkable man learned about the power of the mind and created the Religious Science movement. Other authors I recommend are Florence Scovell Shinn, Venice Bloodworth and Catherine Ponder.

Comments:  How to get what you want in life the with the money you already have by carol keeffe, is the best book on financial planning. It is written by someone who is not rich and lives from paycheck to paycheck. Carol Keeffee has changed my life. Several people in my office are reading it. My boss just went on a vacation to cancun with the money she was able to save by the systems in the book. Check and see if it is in your local library. I check it out from the library for 8 wks before I bought it.

Comments:  Book #1 completely changed my life forever...woke me up to remember God..to love Him & to remember who I truly am--powerful soul who is a child of God. Most empowering book I have ever read! Illusions prepared me for the spiritual path--most beautiful way of looking at life and seeing Truth! Through Book #3 I realized for the first time the difference between our personalities which need healing and the all-powerful soul that we truly are! I feel so grateful to these 3 authors for helping me unfold.

Book #1:  The Return of the Bird Tribes

Book #2:  A Course in Miracles

Book #3:  All of Lynn V. Andrews Books
Author:  on the Sisterhood of the Shields

Comments:  All of the above books gave me such wonderful insights into the the mysteries, mystical, power of our thoughts and creations. The Return of the Bird Tribes is a poetic, yet true look at the Iroquois Confederacy and its influence on Democracy in North America. The Course in Miracles is POWERFUL!!!!We start to realize how Powerful the Mind is. We come to truly know how the ego hinders our ability to truly SEE and FEEL. The Son of God has never been lost in the Eyes of our Creator. And all books from Lynn. V. Andrews restores the Sisterhood as a Force of Universal (Feminine/Masculine)Creativity. The Love and Power of The Great Mother-Father GODNESS is Oneness in the Great Spirit - All there Is.

Much love ....... Helga
